Great Effort For First Time Event - Room for Improvement

Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience. Not quite up to the standards of the PGA event held at Hazeltine a few years ago, but outstanding for a first time event. Staff was well organized, trained and helpful. Parking and buses to the course were a pleasant surprise. The course is beautiful, although it is so large that many of the viewing areas were quite far from the greens. Areas for improvement: 1) more grandstands for general admission ticket holders, 2) larger gift shop, 3) more food selections. We had a great time and look forward to attending next year's event.

Great Experience, a couple tweaks needed

Wonderful to have professional golf back in MN. For an inaugural event, I thought the event went smoothly. I have a couple suggestions for next year. 1. Pillars with direction arrows were confusing. Too much information on pillars. Arrows for same holes / locations contradict depending what side of pillar viewed. More information is actually less helpful. 2. Please include cart paths on maps going forward. 3. Unlike other PGA events, marshals weren't posted on pathways to halt foot traffic around areas where holes cluster. Marshals only at greens, tee, or crossing. Several caddies yelled to patrons walking on pathways during play.

A Neat Experience

This was our first experience at a PGA event, so we didn't know exactly what to expect. This was also the 1st year of this particular tournament. Overall the course was great and it allowed for a lot of views of the players that we came to watch. Expect all of the food and drink to be overpriced, but there were a few houses with backyards facing the golf tournament that sold water for cheap, so take advantage when you see them. We were lucky in that the weather was overcast and not overly hot for the 4th of July weekend, but it could have been dangerous if you weren't prepared. Be sure to drink a lot of water, and reapply sunscreen as air-conditioned and shaded areas were very limited.
